WE ARE ONE proves vans are cool again
June 17, 2020
The always inventive worship band from Imlay, MI—WE ARE ONE—stretch their quarantine blues with another impressive acoustic performance video. Their last, “WILD,” showcased the band’s creativity using pots and pans, a ukulele, and a rubber chicken (we think?).
This time out, they all pile into an emptied-out church van and just drive around. No, it’s not Carpool Karaoke—there’s no stereo system involved—for the new “LIGHTHOUSE” video, they put their expensive stringed instruments at risk and perform the song live. Watch below:

VERSE 1 | We don’t have it all together
But together we have it all
We’ve got to come together
‘Cause alone we’re gonna fall
VERSE 2 | Sometimes we feel defeated
We break down and drop our guard
It’s not flesh and blood we’re fighting
Eyes open
CHORUS | (We need to) Keep out heads up
Keep going now
Hope is rising
It’s pouring out
We’ve got to be all we can be
We’re at this for eternity
VERSE 3 | Beat beat to the heart that’s beating
Embrace Compassion’s arms
Hold on to the love that’s lasting
Reach out now
BRIDGE | For God so loved the world
That He gave His only son
And if you believe in Love
Lift it up (Keep your head up)
ENDING | We’re on the lookout
You’re a lighthouse
For the lost and the broken down
We’re all shipwrecked
In the deep end
Holding fast to your anchor now
