Candace wrote this song in a season of burnout when realizing that the busyness of life made her feel dry and worn; like she was lacking life instead of being filled by it. In January of 2019, after doing a lot of shows, she did a one month “performing fast” and forced herself to rest. Coker wrote this song during that time. This is her fourth release off her first studio album Bare and Bones set to release February 17, 2023.

Candace Coker is a Trinidad-born singer/songwriter who serves an evocative blend of poetry, gospel and musicality to the world of alternative-folk. Her mission is to bring shalom, healing and respite through her music. As she grows in life and love and faith, her songs are offered like bouquets for others to enjoy.
