Folk Songs for Fairy Tales Vol. 1
DESCRIPTION:
Many of the songs on Folk Songs for Fairy Tales Vol. 1 are based on stories in the public domain, such as “Europa.” Originally a story in the Iliad, the tale of Europa was later written about by Nathaniel Hawthorne. It tells the heartbreaking story of the brothers of Europa searching for her after she is kidnapped but eventually giving up. The song “Europa” gives the perspective of the oldest brother, a song of remorse and remembrance.
