“We Sing Praises”
Greg Hoover has a true passion and love for gospel music. Greg has worked in the music industry for more than a decade writing, directing and singing gospel.
During the 90s, Greg organized the Charlotte Community Singers and recorded 3 albums. While on Malaco Records the Charlotte Community Singers recorded two albums featuring the singles “It’s Gonna Be Alright” and “Celebrate”.
The group also recorded the Billboard charting hit, “Breakthrough” on Black Smoke Records.
He has shared the stage with some of the best such as Donnie McClurkin, Bishop Hezekiah Walker, Donald Lawrence, John P. Kee, the Canton Spirituals and Vickie Winans.
Greg has written songs for the stage play A Good Man Is Hard to Find. Additionally Greg served as a guest conductor for The Gospel Music Workshop of America (GMWA) where his songs were performed.He has also facilitated workshops during GMWA’s annual conference.
His achievements have been recognized by his hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina and the nation’s capital. The mayor of Charlotte awarded Greg and The Charlotte Community Singers the National Achievement Award for achieving national recognition and their service to the community. His talents even afforded him an invitation to the Inaugural celebration for President Barack Obama.
Greg Hoover currently serves as the minister of music of Temple Chapel Baptist Church in Charlotte, North Carolina. Greg is excited to announce his forthcoming project to be released under his own label Spectrum Music Group.
