S7AVE is a concept project based on the seven deadly sins infused with civil war era and black spiritual musical inspiration. It’s written from the perspective that no matter our creed, color, or walk of life, we’re all susceptible of being slaves to sin—sloth, vanity, gluttony, greed, envy, lust, or wrath can permeate our lives at any given time. Everyone involved with this project is also black—artist, writer, producer, engineer—giving a nod to our history as slaves. Additionally, this collection is intentionally being dropped the day before the national Juneteenth remembrance celebration.
