muted mike is an Indianapolis-based independent producer, rapper, and songwriter. He focuses on mental health issues through his music. His moniker, “muted mike,” refers to his quieter, soft spoken demeanor. It contrasts the thoughts and feelings he portrays through his outlet, music. Morals, religion, and inner contradictions are portrayed in each song. He feels managing life is the only way to get through it. muted mike is also part of the 2022 Rapzilla Freshmen class. “Drown” is a song about the emotional reaction to and the repercussions of drinking. Using drinking to defuse emotions is risky. Often it can inadvertently create a ticking time bomb. “It is a short term solution that only causes more problems and damage to others,” says muted mike. He is a member of the 2022 Rapzilla Freshmen class.
