Written by Sam Tidwell, “The Last Log Drive” is a song of protest. It tells the story of the dedicated and highly skilled workers who drove the logs down river. They were negatively impacted by the advancements of modern technologies. And it hurt the heart and soul of the local community which will never be healed.
