THE KODY NORRIS SHOW
“Blue Ain’t the Word”
DESCRIPTION:
“Blue Ain’t the Word” is a traditional heartbreak song and is the first song that fiddler Mary Rachel Norris has penned for the band. This soulful song began as a melody and chorus that she just couldn’t shake and it grew into a powerful song of lament when Mary Rachel consulted with her husband Kody who co-wrote the song. In addition to writing “Blue Ain’t the Word,” Mary Rachel sings lead for the first time with a palpable pain in her voice.
