“Daddy Was the Backbone,” written by Tommy Webb, reflects on life growing up in Eastern Kentucky and those wonderful and much simpler times. The song takes the listener back to some of Webb’s special memories from his childhood. He shares the stories of how hard his parents worked to raise their family.
