UNSPOKEN TRADITION
“Weary Town”
DESCRIPTION:
“Weary Town” is a love letter to a fading hometown. So many like it have found themselves drowned by the turning tide. They are places built on the American dream. Now they are laid to waste by greed, misfortune or both. It’s written in a Southern voice but translates to any and every town that has suffered this fate. “Weary Town” is not about fancy instrumentation but about a mood, reflecting sadness, nostalgia, and frustration.
