Mountain Fever Takes Charts in June

Michigan’s DETOUR Hits #1 on Bluegrass Today Weekly Chart
Virginia’s Mountain Fever Records has something to be excited about with some of the newest releases from the label showing up in multiple positions on several different charts this month. A strong showing for the Virginia based label and with no signs of slowing down.
Michigan based contemporary bluegrass band, DETOUR, leads the way by taking the #1 position on the Bluegrass Today weekly chart with “Too Blue To Have The Blues,” written by Jeff Rose & Terry Herd. Detour’s new album, Going Nowhere Fast, currentlyholds the #9 spot on the Roots Music Report and debuted on the Bluegrass Unlimited charts in June. Going Nowhere Fast also takes the #9 spot on Cashbox Magazine’s weekly album chart.
One of bluegrass music’s top vocalists, Dave Adkins, has experienced a stellar run recently by holding the #1 spot on the Bluegrass Today chart LAST week with the self-penned “Pike County Jail.” Adkins also debuted on the Bluegrass Unlimited chart in June and currently holds the #4 position on the Bluegrass Today weekly chart with “Pike County Jail” as well as the #4 position on the Roots Music Report chart for his album, Nothing To Lose. Adkins also grabs the #5 position with songs “Nothing To Lose,” #8 with “Tennessee Twister,” and “#49 with Pretty Little Liar,” on the Roots Music Report. Adkins continues his chart with success with a #4 showing on Cashbox Magazine’s weekly album chart with Nothing To Lose.
Other artists in the news include Jett’s Creek at #6 on RMR with “When Angels Fall,” and #47 on Cashbox Magazine’s weekly album chart with The Wait Is Over.
Grasstowne at #24 on RMR with “Cold Dark Ground,” and The Spinney Brothers at #48 on RMR with “I Want My Dog Back.”
Darrell Webb’s “Flying South to Dixie,” written by Cindy Walker, makes its first appearance on the Bluegrass Today chart at #12 this week along with “Dream Big” holding at #15 on Cashbox. Jason Davis’s “Second Time Around,” shows up on BT at #10 and #25 on Cashbox.
The Expedition Show holds at #27 on Cashboxwith “Stormy Horizons,”Sideline’s Session 1 is at #35, and Jeff Brown and Still Lonesome is at #45 with “Blue Side of Me.”
The Power Source top 10 Bluegrass Songs shows Darrell Webb along with bluegrass queen, Rhonda Vincent, at #10 with the song, “More Life.”
Mountain Fever is home to some of the top singers in Bluegrass music as is evidenced by not only concert attendance but chart appearances, including holding down the Top 1/3 of the Bluegrass Today chart this week.
