PRESS RELEASE

Syntax Creative, Reality Co. Partner on Artist Mental Health

Syntax Creative has partnered with Reality Co. Nashville to expand mental health support for artists, songwriters and musicians. The nonprofit organization provides certified coaching in mental health, trauma, life, temperament, addiction and recovery.

The service is available at no cost to Syntax Creative clients. Donations to Reality Co. Nashville are appreciated but entirely optional.

“Finances should never be a barrier to receiving help,” said Timothy Trudeau, CEO of Syntax Creative.

Free Coaching for Syntax Creative Clients

Artists who want to use the service can contact the Syntax Creative team for an introduction to Reality Co. Nashville. Sessions are available by phone, video conference or in person at the Syntax Creative offices in Franklin, Tennessee.

Reality Co. Nashville handles those conversations confidentially. In addition, clients can seek support without involving their record label, management team or other business partners.

Trudeau said the partnership extends Syntax Creative’s commitment to the overall well-being of the people behind the music. He also emphasized the value of providing artists with access to support beyond their professional careers.

Supporting Artist Mental Health

Phil Covert, founder of Reality Co. Nashville, said artists often face challenges that extend beyond the creative and professional demands of the music business. The partnership gives Reality Co. another way to meet artists where they are and provide meaningful support.

Syntax Creative and Reality Co. Nashville previously hosted a panel discussion during the Dove Awards focused on mental health in the music industry. The panel included professionals as well as people with firsthand experience navigating mental health challenges.

“The panel sparked conversations that need to happen,” Covert said. The partnership is intended to continue those conversations and make support easier to access.
