PRESS RELEASE

Syntax Creative Partners with Woodlands Church

April 12, 2019

Woodlands Worship, Christian music, worship, Syntax Creative - imageSyntax Creative is excited to announce a new partnership with Woodlands Church, a multi-site church with around 18,000 weekly attendees. Well-known preacher Kerry Shook, the founding pastor of the church, will serve as the executive producer of Woodlands Worship. Woodlands will release its new album, Live, on May 3, 2019 while the first of three singles, “Maker,” drops today at all digital service providers.

“The heart of Woodlands Worship is to help people worship in spirit and truth,” Shook said. “The songs on the live album never shy away from the truth and raw emotions of our struggles. However, just like our struggles, the songs lead us to the only source of hope and healing, Jesus Christ. It’s our prayer that we put out albums that connect listeners with hope and healing, yet also competes aesthetically in the digital marketplace.”

“From the moment I stepped into the meeting with the fine folks at Woodlands,“ Syntax CEO Timothy Trudeau said, “I could tell we were going to be friends whether we did business or not. The fact that we are doing business makes the friendship that much sweeter.”

Kerry and his wife, Chris, co-authored the New York Times bestseller, One Month to Live: 30 Days to a No-Regrets Life among others. Kerry’s weekly sermons are televised in 200-plus countries around the world.

“I believe in this music and its ability to connect to people,” Woodlands production pastor Steven Shook said. “I feel that there are some people in this world who will connect to God in a new way or maybe for the first time through these songs. Whether there are 10, 10 thousand, or 10 million of those people in the world, Syntax will help this music start to reach those individuals.”

“Our team is eager to help Woodlands navigate the digital waters with their fantastic musical offering so they can keep spending their time and energy focused on all of the wonderful things they are doing for their local community,” Trudeau said.
