PRESS RELEASE

Syntax Distribution Brings ION in Front of New Audience

February 11, 2011

New deal expands worship music favorites into the digital frontier.

San Diego, CA – Syntax Distribution is thrilled to announce the latest addition to its ever-growing list of clients, Canadian-based ION Worship. This deal gives Syntax exclusive worldwide rights to the ION catalog, while strategically placing their music in front of a larger music-consuming audience.

“With the reach that Syntax has, we know that our artists will receive excellent exposure,” says Marc Pusch, Managing Partner of ION. “In an age where old systems are dying, it gives us confidence to know that Syntax will not only serve our present needs, but will continue to look to the future to find new means of exposure and revenue streams.”

In today’s digital economy, consumers no longer have to put forth effort traveling to stores sampling music before purchasing. Instead, consumers can sample and download music online and have it fulfilled instantly within their own home. Syntax has utilized this shift in the music industry by building incredible relationships and positioning independents on equal ground with major labels in digital distribution.

“I’m excited to partner with the non-profit organization ION. They represent a global community of like-hearted, like-minded worshippers who are concerned that worship is genuine and pleasing to God,” Tim Trudeau, President of Syntax, says.

“ION first began to work with Syntax indirectly through a mutual partner, Central South Distribution. We have always been impressed by the service Syntax provides and we are pleased and excited to now be able to work with Syntax directly!” says Pusch of the partnership.

“Our partnership with Ion is an important step in reaching our goal of offering a large and valuable body of independent work. I look forward to serving their digital vision,” says Trudeau.
