Imperial, K.I.N.E.T.I.K, & Die-Rek Song Featured in National Hockey League Commercial for Stanley Cup
May 3, 2024
For the 2024 Stanley Cup playoffs, the National Hockey League (NHL) has partnered with Marmoset and Illect Recordings to license “For The Love” as part of their latest TV campaign.
Love is a driving force. It is the momentum behind the get-up, get-out, and get-something mindset that is needed to win. “For The Love” is the first-ever collaboration between UK hip-hop duo Imperial and Kinetik and their Canadian connect, DIE-REK. In under three minutes, the international label mates get sentimental about the pursuit and payoff of hard graft and sacrifice. Their collective heart for the hustle also applies to the great sport of Ice Hockey.
The passion for music collides with the desire to win right in the middle in perfect synergy.
Imperial’s lush lo-fi stylings are the calm and the storm, while Kinetik and DIE-REK stand solid with the hard-hitting declaration of staying true in everything they do as they work towards victory. Success is a journey for this trio, but it’s the love of it that inspires greatness.
