This “Red Rover” is definitely not child’s play. The song was written by Audie Blaylock and Redline bassist and vocalist, Reed Jones. It was inspired by a story his papaw told him of the “good ol’ days” in eastern Kentucky. What starts as innocent fun carries through to adulthood. Sometimes relationships can feel like childhood deja vu. It demonstrates how some folks just can’t leave the childish games behind.
