If your music is on TIDAL, claiming your artist profile gives you more control over how your official artist page is managed.
TIDAL Artist Home is TIDAL’s artist-management platform. It lets artists and authorized team members manage parts of an artist profile, control team access and use other artist tools.
The claiming process changed significantly in 2026.
You no longer start by working through the old Artist Home claim flow. Instead, TIDAL now lets you claim the artist directly from the public artist page.
Step 1: Make sure your music is on TIDAL
You cannot claim an artist profile that does not exist yet.
Your music distributor is the company that delivers your recordings and release information to digital services such as TIDAL, Spotify and Apple Music.
Make sure your music has been delivered and is publicly available on the correct TIDAL artist page.
If Syntax Creative distributes your music, TIDAL is part of our distribution network.
Step 2: Sign in to TIDAL
Go to TIDAL and sign in with the account you want connected to the artist profile.
If you already use the same email address for a TIDAL streaming subscription, that is fine. TIDAL treats the Artist Home access and streaming subscription separately even though the login credentials can be shared.
Step 3: Find the correct artist profile
Search TIDAL for the artist name and open the correct public artist page.
Double-check before moving forward.
Artists with the same or similar names can sometimes have separate profiles, so make sure you are looking at your actual music.
If the releases are appearing under the wrong artist entirely, contact your label or distributor so the catalog issue can be investigated.
Step 4: Claim the artist profile
From the public artist page, select the option to claim the profile.
TIDAL will then ask how you want to verify your connection to the artist.
As of 2026, TIDAL offers two main verification paths:
- verification through a supported distributor
- manual verification by TIDAL
TIDAL currently supports direct distributor verification through DistroKid, CD Baby and TuneCore.
Syntax Creative is not currently one of the distributors connected to that automated verification system.
Therefore, Syntax clients should use TIDAL’s manual verification option.
Step 5: Complete manual verification
Provide TIDAL with accurate information showing your connection to the artist.
Depending on the application, that may include information about the artist, label, distributor, management or other professional connections.
If you are a Syntax Creative client and need distributor information for the application, contact your record label or Syntax team.
Give TIDAL complete information whenever possible. The easier it is to verify the relationship, the easier it is for someone reviewing the claim to understand what they are looking at.
Step 6: Wait for TIDAL to review the claim
The old version of this article said manual verification could take up to 10 business days.
That is no longer TIDAL’s published timeline.
TIDAL now says manual verification can take up to eight weeks.
So do not wait until the middle of an important release campaign to claim the account.
Once TIDAL approves the request, the profile becomes officially claimed.
What if the profile is already claimed?
If the claim option does not appear, TIDAL says there are several possible reasons.
The profile may already have an active claim under review, may have been successfully claimed by somebody else or may be restricted to prevent unauthorized claims.
In those cases, contact TIDAL Artist Support.
TIDAL currently allows only one active claim for a profile at a time.
Be careful when managing multiple artists
TIDAL also currently says a TIDAL account can claim only one artist profile.
That does not mean every manager, label employee or team member needs to personally claim each artist.
Once the artist profile is properly claimed, additional people can be invited to the team and given their own access.
That is a much better system than sharing one password across an artist, manager, label and publicist.
Add your team
TIDAL Artist Home includes team management so the profile owner can give other people access.
For example, an artist may want to add:
- a manager
- a record label
- a distributor
- a publicist
- another member of the artist’s team
Give each person their own account and the level of access they actually need.
TIDAL also allows ownership of an artist profile to be transferred to another Admin when necessary.
Keep the team current. If somebody no longer works with the artist, remove their access.
Keep the artist profile current
Once you have access, review what fans actually see.
TIDAL Artist Home can be used to manage information connected to the artist profile, including profile content such as images and biography information.
An artist page should not still describe a three-year-old album as an upcoming release.
Likewise, use current photography that actually represents the artist. Our guide to creating a strong artist press photo can help with that.
Lyrics are handled through Musixmatch
Not everything on a TIDAL artist page is controlled through Artist Home.
For example, TIDAL currently uses Musixmatch to manage lyrics.
If lyrics are missing or incorrect, our guide to publishing and syncing lyrics with Musixmatch explains that process.
Your distributor still handles your distributed music
Claiming TIDAL Artist Home does not replace your distributor.
Your label or distributor still handles the recordings and release information delivered through the normal music-distribution system.
TIDAL also sends royalty reporting and payments to its distribution partners rather than paying Artist Home users directly for traditionally distributed catalog.
So if a release needs to be removed, a recording is missing or important release metadata is wrong, start with your label or distributor.
Claim the profile before you need it
TIDAL Artist Home gives artists and their teams more control over their presence on the service.
First, get the music distributed. Then find the correct artist page and submit the claim. Complete the verification carefully and give TIDAL enough time to review it.
Once approved, add the right people to the team and keep the artist information current.
It is much easier to set all of this up when nothing is on fire.
