Syntax Creative Congratulates Yancy & The Kingsmen on 2024 Dove Award Nominations

Yancy’s first solo as a kid was a new song at the time, “Awesome God,” a memory that stayed with her as she grew in her career. Phil Wickham recently put his own spin on it and penned new verses to the song, now “What An Awesome God.” Yancy’s youngest son, Rhythm, fell in love with it, unaware of the original, and she recognized something special. She loves watching a new generation fall in love with a renewed classic and wanted to cover it and lead worship with it.
