This new 3-song EP from upstate New York’s Coterie is a lush amalgamation of etherial guitars, synth pads, and hummable melody lines. Opening track, “Listen(er),” sets the tone for tuning the ears—and the soul—inward to hear the sounds both intended and unintentional. Making the experience personal, Person, Place, Thing reminds us that some statements can best be made without words, as this short instrumental collection will easily embed into the best of our reflective/introspective playlists.
