“Act Naturally” is a playful, upbeat tune about an unlikely shot at stardom. The lyrics brim with a mix of wide-eyed optimism and self-deprecating humor. Nedski and Mojo decided to record the track for what would have been Buck Owen’s 95th birthday. The acoustic duo are both passionate fans of Owens who originally recorded the song (’63) which became his first #1 hit. The Beatles also covered the song in 1965. It was on Side B of “Yesterday.”

These two fine musicians are already known for their work in the ensembles of The Becky Buller Band (Nedski) and Stephen Mougin (Mojo) performs with Sam Bush on a regular basis. Now they’ve joined forces for a new project. Their banjo-guitar and mandolin-guitar duets are strong and precise with wonderfully blended soulful vocals.
