In anticipation of his new and upcoming Dark Shadow Recording LP, The Next Mountain (Nov. 5), Rick Faris drops his next two singles—a sweet, serenading ballad, “Laurel of the Mountain,” and a bridge-burning break up song from the opposite perspective, “Evil Hearted You.” This one, complete with Faris and Co.’s signature firey acoustic strength, leave no doubt as to the song’s title with lines like, “Your love’s a master’s stroke of art / The kind the devil buys.” Yeah. Bridge officially burned.
