DESCRIPTION:

“Willow,” written by Ashley McBride, features the voice of IBMA Vocalist of the Year nom Jaelee Roberts. The song weaves old-time and modern strands into a mysterious and mournful plea. Says McBryde, “Sister Sadie is the best thing that ever happened to this song. I wrote ‘Willow’ on an afternoon when everything was going wrong. The girls tore it UP! Jaelee Roberts’ voice could sing somebody back to life, I swear.”

Grammy nominated Sister Sadie launched in the wake of a one-off show at Nashville’s World Famous Station Inn in 2012. The band has embraced and transcended its all-female identity. Members range from acclaimed veterans to rising newcomers, who have won individual recognition.
