“Masterpiece” is a meditative, neo-soul song about perfection. Using live instrumentation, raps, and an emotionally sung chorus, the track is a worshipful modern day hip hop hymn to the only one who is perfect—God. “You and I have never seen this…”, the chorus sings. The piano loops may be emotional, but Prisims‘ make sure the drums still knock, and the bass still rattles. Even though “Masterpiece” is a more tender and reflective song, the raps still cut to make sure your head still nods.
