Rick Lang, Dark Shadow Recording, Kati Penn, bluegrass, acoustic, Syntax Creative - imageWhen songs represent actual fact and history, they embody a particular depth not found in those written for love or fiction. In anticipation his new album A Tale to Tell (Dark Shadow Recording, coming 2021), GRAMMY-nominated songwriter Rick Lang offers new single “White Dove of the Desert,” written and titled after visiting the Tucson, AZ cathedral that shares its nickname. “I was so captivated [by the San Xavier del Bac Mission] I knew I had to write a song about it,” says Lang in this story behind the song video.
