Spotify has long required at least one lyricist and composer to be included in the track credits. But now, Apple Music is enhancing its platform by expanding this requirement to improve user experience and creator recognition.

This new requirement applies only to all new releases. 

To meet the requirement, at least one credit needs to be supplied for each section within each track’s Artists & Contributors:

• Artists
• Writers
  • Example: Lyricist, Composer
• Performers (solo and band members)
  • Example: Rap, Lead Vocals, Acoustic Guitar, Moog, Synth Bass, Drum Machine
• Additional Contributors (Production & Engineering)
  • Example: Producer, Recording Engineer, Mixing Engineer, Mastering Engineer
