When asked to perform a rendition of The Beatles’ classic hit, “Penny Lane,” Noah Wall was initially intimidated. But she had always been drawn to the song’s ability to paint a vivid picture of everyday life and the beauty found in it. In particular, Wall was struck by the line “there beneath the blue suburban skies,” which captures the essence of the song’s message. It reminds her that songs don’t have to be grand or epic to be incredibly impactful.

Nashville-based The Barefoot Movement teamed up with charity Soles4Souls for a covers-based project, Covers for a Cause. Kind of going “hand-in-hand,” if you will, with the organizations’ namesakes, the Barefooters are donating proceeds from this project to this local organization which provides shoes for those in need.
