Syntax Creative Clients Take 45 Nominations for the 35th Annual IBMA Awards
DESCRIPTION:
To meet his goal of recording with friends and heroes, Sutton is joined in “Blue Night” by blues master Joe Bonamassa. It is Sutton’s first step into the project’s other purpose: to go beyond bluegrass. A longtime admirer of Bonamassa, Sutton approached the session unsure of how the collaboration would unfold, especially given the acoustic nature of the track. The result surprised him in the best way, with Bonamassa choosing an electric guitar to bring a fresh dynamic to an old Bill Monroe song.
