DESCRIPTION:

Written by legendary fiddler Howdy Forrester, “Rutland’s Reel” pays tribute to one of Deanie Richardson’s (Sister Sadie) lifelong heroes. Richardson grew up near Forrester, a leading player in the post-World War II golden age of country music. In typical Forrester fashion, the tune features several parts and is a real technical challenge. Arranging it as a twin fiddle piece added another layer of difficulty, with Kimber Ludiker (Della Mae) taking on the harmony part alongside Richardson’s lead.
