Angelina Creel believes in being authentic and honest, especially in her music. An active duty United States Marine out of San Diego, CA, Creel chooses to be vulnerable with her words, in hopes that others can relate. Her inspiration comes from the freedom she feels to express her emotions. You will most often catch her writing sad songs because that’s what she personally vibes out to the majority of the time. “I have decided to shape pain into murals of story telling and beauty,” says Creel. There are few things more frustrating than trying to get through to a busy or disconnected phone. Creel relates that to the loss of a friendship or relationship or even just a change in the seasons of life. “Disconnected” is the first song that she has released since becoming a United States Marine. She used her experience of training all across the country to build off of that idea. It has transformed her music and added a new, complex layer. “I was able to create an entirely new sound and feeling like I’m finally coming to myself for the first time in my music,” says Creel.
