ASHBY FRANK
“The Bug”
DESCRIPTION:
Ashby Frank puts a bluegrass twist on “The Bug”, which appeared on the final Dire Straits album and became a Top 20 country hit. Frank grew up listening to 90s country and actually first heard the Mary Chapin Carpenter cover. When Ashby discovered the original he fell in love with its deep groove. He arranged this traditional-meets-jam version along with Seth Taylor on guitar, Matt Menefee on banjo, and Jaelee Roberts’ (Sister Sadie) vocal harmonies.
