DANNY ROBERTS
“How I Live, How I’ll Die”
DESCRIPTION:
“How I Live, How I’ll Die” is a somber meditation that reflects the hard, dangerous working life of underground coal miners. Danny never worked in a coal mine, but he has a good friend that grew up in West Virginia in a mining family. The lyrics also came from the stories Roberts heard from his wife’s family and their coal mining legacy. “It has a bit of a spooky, lonesome sound and feel. I believe that’s exactly what it’s like living a coal miner’s life,” says Roberts.
