“SHINE” is a song about not staying in the shadows. If we have a light, we have an obligation to those around us to let it shine. No matter how small of a flicker we think it is.

Neighbor formed after a series of hard life situations starting with Covid and ending with a difficult death. Through all that, frontman Dan Read was searching for an outlet for the more melancholy music that he found himself writing. Over time, Neighbor has wrestled with the tension of writing sad songs that search for the hope on the other side.
