About the focus track, “the prophecy” | This opening track—”the prophecy”—on Terror Firma‘s new EP, For the Lost (Illect Recordings, 4/8), sounds something like an amalgamation of The Police meeting hip hop (no, not the Sting & Puffy, “I’ll Be Missing You,” type), jazz, and chillhop at the park on a sunny day to have a chat (and, perhaps, a game of chess?). With definite “Message in a Bottle” vibes, all the pieces come together here and it works.
