M.A.N.D.A.T.E. Recording artist, Victoria Matthews is a seasoned singer, songwriter, and international minister. This petite, anointed and gifted young lady, is ready to take her place in the Christian music industry by releasing her first single entitled “Anchored” on November 8th 2019. Accompanying her single is a powerful video with majestic scenery creating a peaceful undertone that conveys an inspiring message and portrays her sincerity and genuine love for the Lord. The song, “Anchored” was inspired by a testimony only she can describe as one of the most touching, Godsend story connections to reach people that need to be anchored in hope and surrounded by God’s peace.

As a licensed minister and Worship Arts Director at Open Door Family Worship Center under the leadership of Dr. Gwendolyn & Charles Matthews, Victoria ushered in the spirit of God through liturgical dance and Praise and Worship for the past 11 years. Victoria is also very gifted in training children in their spiritual giftings. Victoria is a firm believer in the undeniable healing and transformative power of God’s love.

Victoria is also a classically trained actress with professional credits that include, a featured role in Fences with Lawrence Fishburne, Angela Bassett, Wendell Pierce, Orlando Jones, Kadeem Hardison, and Bryan Clark and a Craig Noel Award for Outstanding Young Actor for her role as Little Inez in Hairspray.

Currently, Victoria has taken a leave from her leadership role at Open Door Family Worship Center to complete her studies in Psychology at Oral Roberts University (ORU) in Tulsa, Oklahoma on a full tuition scholarship. At ORU, she continues her passion to minister to people through her prophetic voice, raw passion for God, unwavering faith, and confidence in His presence in ORU’s prayer movement on campus. Victoria still travels throughout the United States singing, dancing, preaching and interceding in numerous major venues and ministries.

To date, Victoria has shared the stage with numerous Christian artists including, Marvin Sapp, Donnie McClurkin, Jessica Reedy and Brent Jones. Her lifelong mission is to live a life that brings exceedingly great joy to God and allows His kingdom to manifest on earth through a life of surrender to Jesus our Lord. Victoria believes that when we partner with the Holy Spirit, through submission to him, anything is possible.
