Syntax Creative Announces Partnership with Peerless Music Group to Release Christmas Album from Sheryl Lee Ralph of Abbott Elementary
DESCRIPTION:
The original 1971 pressing of “All Day Long” is a Northern Soul cornerstone and a certified collector’s “holy grail,” often fetching $600 or more on the secondhand market. This release marks its first official DSP availability, bringing the track to a new generation of listeners. The B-side, “Love Me, Leave Me,” captures the heartbreak of a man caught between longing for love and realizing it may already be lost.
KEY SELLING POINTS
- Over 35 million streams in the past three years is a staggering feat for a "short-lived" local act, but The Valdons are no ordinary group.
- Originally the "Crown Jewel" of Minneapolis’s 1971 R&B scene, the four-man vocal powerhouse split shortly after their debut 7” failed to break nationally.
- Decades later, in 2013, The Valdons reunited to cut a new 7-inch for Secret Stash Records: "Stop Wait a Minute Girl B/W Whatcha Gonna Do".
- The pressing sold out quickly, and that was it—until nearly a decade later, when the record found a massive second life online, quietly racking up millions of streams.
- Saving the best for last, Secret Stash Records will reissue the group's definitive debut single, "All Day Long" b/w "Love Me, Leave Me," both physically and digitally on May 15, 2026.
