The late 1950s saw a surge in the popularity of Mambos and Cha Chas in the United States. Few artists were more instrumental in this trend than Argueso & His Orchestra. Their 1959 hit, “A Vuelta Mundo Mambo,” introduced complex Latin rhythms to American audiences of all backgrounds.
Keeping with this tradition, Freddy Fresh’s remix updates the swinging Latin sound to reach a broader modern audience.
