DESCRIPTION:

It was by sad coincidence that Herencia MX booked studio time just the day before Charley Pride‘s death (Dec. 14, 2020) to record “Dame Un Recuerdo Más,” a Spanish version of Pride’s recording, “Make Me One More Memory” (also made popular by Johnny Paycheck in the ’70s). Producer John Mathis, Jr. (whose father originally wrote the song) says, “I believe Nashville can be a big contributor of Latin music. With the infusion of country DNA, it will hopefully encourage more growth in the recording and marketing of the Latino music coming out of this area.”
