For his first single of 2022, previous Vocalist of the Year winner Junior Sisk wastes little time reminding us why he’s so highly regarded in that area—”Patches On My Heart” is one of Sisk’s more memorable vocal performances, and a great new song for his honored repertoire. This medium-tempo, slightly-two-step bluegrass number takes on a traditional theme of heartbreak and the realization of losing love, but Sisk’s talent insists the listener to be drawn-in regardless of subject matter.
