LAURA ORSHAW
Solitary Diamond
DESCRIPTION:
About the Focus Track, “I’ll Trade You Money for Wine” | Written by Robert Fulks, this song was initially inspired by the bluegrass/old time mountain music of Doc Boggs and Ralph Stanley, some of Laura Orshaw‘s all time favorites. In fact, the eventual melody for “I’ll Trade You…” was directly inspired by an old fiddle tune by Tex Logan, titled “Come Along Jody.” A the opening track, it’s the perfect start to Orshaw’s solo label debut, Solitary Diamond.
