Syntax Creative Announces Partnership with Peerless Music Group to Release Christmas Album from Sheryl Lee Ralph of Abbott Elementary
DESCRIPTION:
“I Pledge My Love” is a ballad of devotion and longing. A young man offers his heart completely, praying each night that she’ll promise never to part. Though she answers his declarations with only a hesitant “maybe,” he believes her touch holds the key to his happiness. He confesses he’s a fool in love, pleading for the words he longs to hear—“you will be mine.” Originally released in 1960 by The Desidero’s, the group featured Eddie Sullivan on lead vocals before members Marshall Thompson and Creadel “Red” Jones went on to form the Chi-Lites.
