DESCRIPTION:
“Nashville Blues” was born out of Tim William’s people watching. He observed that everyone in the ecosystem of music intently wants something. But that something is different for each person. He had heard songs about how Nashville has the ability to propel you or put you in your place. He was seeing it all there in front him in real time.

- Local musicians from the corners of North Carolina, Georgia, and Tennessee came together to form the group Appalachian Smoke.
- With Kenneth Rymer on vibrant resophonic guitar, B.J. Taylor on the mandolin, Jamie Mason strumming the guitar, Mikel Laws picking the banjo, and Tim Williams playing the bass, this combination has blown away audiences since its independent debut album in early 2022, Colder Side of Love. The album received immediate international airplay.
- The song “Carolina Calling Me” was featured on the Cashbox Top 100 Bluegrass Songs chart, reaching #2 in December 2022. Appalachian Smoke is excited to release their first project on Mountain Fever Records in fall of 2024.
