Deceived by promises of endless love, the singer finds themselves heartbroken as their partner’s affection vanishes like fleeting seasons. These types of songs are a big part of bluegrass. Someone falls victim to the lies of another, leavin’ them high and dry. Sometimes you have to “find out the hard way.” But a lot of wisdom can be found in these seasons.
