MASON VIA
“Melt in the Sun”
DESCRIPTION:
Inspired by watching The War on Drugs play during a sunset at Bonnaroo, Mason Via wanted to write something in a similar psychedelic indie-rock vein. Lyrically, he drew inspiration from timeless poets like William Shakespeare, as well as Appalachian folk songwriters like the beloved Ola Belle Reed. Charlie Chamberlain co-wrote this song with Via and they even started a local jam band in Nashville.
