MIKE MITCHELL
“Time Spent in Los Angeles”
DESCRIPTION:
Mike connected with the Rauchwerk brothers, a.k.a The Lords of Lichtenstein, and they jokingly dared him to cover a Dawes song. Mike learned “Time Spent” and his friend Jody recorded it with him remotely, mostly just for fun. It wasn’t until he saw Dawes perform the song at an L.A. fire victims fundraiser that Mike decided to share his cover. He hopes this bluegrass take on a classic folk-rock tune will encourage us to extend generosity to those who lost everything in the L.A. fires.
