DESCRIPTION:
The title track for Seth Mulder & Midnight Run‘s new full-length, In Dreams I Go Back (Mountain Fever Records, 9/2/22), is a slower (medium-tempo), swinging dirge that serves to showcase the band’s harmonization abilities, musical versatility, and overall presence of mind to pay homage to the lineage of great, mountain music. Complete with a memorable banjo solo, a sweeping fiddle solo, as well, and a sensibility to bring the listener to the rolling hills of Appalachia.
KEY SELLING POINTS
- All graduates of college music programs, the boys hail from the Great Smoky Mountains region of Tennessee and the Carolinas and formed their union at the Ole Smoky Moonshine Distillery in Gatlinburg, TN in 2015
- In 2020, the band was nominated for an IMBA Momentum Band of the Year award
- Currently have plans to take the sound of the Smokies on a European tour in 2022
