SINGLE RELEASE

“Sapphire Town” began as an instrumental piece by banjo player, Steven Moore. His haunting, otherworldly melody felt like it was telling a story even without words, and David knew it needed lyrics. He found inspiration from a video about the sapphire mines in Madagascar. This song is about the gamble the miners make every day, digging deep in search of something precious—sometimes striking it rich, sometimes losing everything.

The David Mayfield Parade is a band out of every corner of Ohio, covering a 3-hour triangle. The Parade’s fearless leader David Mayfield makes his home in Akron, and close by is the Bass man Graham Bell making his home in Brecksville. Steven Moore is further down south in a place called Saint Clairsville and the two most recent additions to The Parade, Ryan and Keith Wallen are out of Dayton. This version of The Parade has been together since October of 2022 and is working towards putting their stamp on the music industry with their first project of all original material.
