DESCRIPTION:
“I’m Just Too Lazy” is the first single from Geary and John’s upcoming guitar duet album. What makes it remarkable is that it was recorded in one take, with no overdubs, on vintage 1953 Martin guitars, played by both musicians. The song is from the perspective of a man whose life is falling apart due to his lack of motivation. Yet, that same carefree attitude allows him to remain unbothered by the problems around him. This gives the track a unique mix of humor, honesty, and musical finesse.
Geary & John are two guitarists who draw from classic country and bluegrass. By taking popular American folk standards (Louvin Brothers, Jim & Jesse, The Stanley Brothers) and stripping the arrangements down to just two guitars and vocals, they let listeners experience these songs more intimately. Their music is fun and spontaneous, relying on their chemistry and improvised playing.
