DESCRIPTION:

First recorded by Caleb Smith over a decade ago, “Virginia Girl” was never released until now. To honor original banjo player Patton Wages, who retired in 2021 after a stroke, engineer Clay Miller blended Wages’ playing with that of Marc Pruett. The track features solos from Smith, Alan Bibey, and Don Rigsby, supported by Tim Surrett. The result is a seamless tribute to friendship, tradition, and the spirit of bluegrass.
