DESCRIPTION:

“A Different Kind of Lonesome” has always carried a quiet weight for Will Clark. First pitched to his old boss, Terry Baucom, for his album Here in the Country, it got lost in the shuffle of too many good songs. Years later—after Baucom’s death—Clark asked co-writer Tim Stafford if he could give it a home. The answer was yes. Now, with its tale of lost love and lingering loneliness, the track doubles as a tribute to Baucom and a chapter Clark was meant to sing.
